The first week of school is an exciting time and runs most smoothly when students are well prepared. We ask that all required equipment has been collected, the Intune Comp Portal app has been installed, and that your child has full access to their iPad.
Our school network includes a strong safety filter that screens websites for appropriate content to help keep students safe online. During the first week, we will begin our digital citizenship lessons and discuss the Digital Citizenship and Student Agreement Contracts with the students.
Students need to know the passcode for their iPad, which they will share with their homeroom teacher. They should also be able to independently use their keyboard and stylus. Each day, iPads must come to school fully charged and in good working order.
On the morning of the first day, we ask that students keep their iPad in their bag and on their back until they enter the classroom. Once inside, teachers will guide students on how to safely unpack their bags and where to place lunch boxes, drink bottles and other belongings.
During the first week, students will individually sign a class contract, led by the Principal and Deputy Principal, which aligns with the Student iPad Agreement Contract.
